Cytosol/Particulate separation kit

Product name: Rapid Cytosol / Particle Separation Kit

Example type: Tissue, adherent cells, cells in suspension

Test type: Direct

Test time: 1h 00m

Product description

Abcam’s Rapid Particle / Cytosol Separation Kit physically separates the cytosol from the particle compartments rapidly through an oil layer and therefore the two fractions do not contact or diffuse with each other. With the method, contaminations can be avoided even for small molecules. Subcellular localization and analysis of the interesting factors can be performed with precision.

Notes

The location and translocation of proteins, signaling molecules, and other small molecules within cells regulate cell growth, differentiation, and many other cellular functions. The separation of cytosol and particle fractions is an important step in the study of the subcellular localization of cellular components. However, traditional methods often take hours to separate the cytosol from the particles, so that some cellular components, especially small molecules, and metabolites, diffuse or redistribute during the separation procedure.

Two kinds of cholinesterases (ChEs) are current in mammalian blood and tissues: acetylcholinesterase (AChE) and butyrylcholinesterase (BChE). Whereas AChE regulates neurotransmission by hydrolyzing acetylcholine on the postsynaptic membranes and neuromuscular junctions, BChE in plasma
